4 Ways Networking Can Explode Your Business

by | May 5, 2021 | Business, Networking Tips

As always, we are singing it from the rooftops. Networking is the name of the game. But not in the send a shiver down your spine kinda way. The networking we’re talking about is the kind that will not only explode your business but will fill your joy-bucket and lay the right foundation for long-term success.

So to help you focus on the RIGHT way to network here are things to consider.

4 Ways Networking Can Explode Your Business

When you provide value, you become the subject matter expert

mompire owner, ashley meyer, talking into podcast micShowing up and bringing value is what it’s all about. Giving away free bits of content is OK…and is a great way to build your following. It’s one of the ways that your ideal client trusts that you know what you’re talking about.

A couple of ideas is to jump into your favorite Facebook group communities once a week and search for relevant topics that you know you can bring value to. If you’re a website designer, search the conversations from “website” and seek out recent questions that have been asked in the group….and answer them! Don’t look for anything in return. Don’t try to book an appointment. Just give value.

When you’re genuine, you will attract your people who will know, like and trust you

On top of sharing your value with the world, being authentic – as cliche as that sounds – is crucial. You WANT to attract YOUR PEOPLE…the people that you want to work with. The ones you know you’ll love being around. And they’ll love being around you because they know who you are and what you’re about.

The “Know, Like, and Trust” factor simply means that historically, people buy from people that they know, like, and trust. The trust comes from you bringing value. The know and like is from you branding yourself and being a genuine person, allowing people to get to know the person, not just the business.

When you brand yourself, people think about you outside of social media and networking events

What is the point of branding? Everyone talks about it…and it’s definitely a buzzword in the online world. While there are a lot of reasons to brand yourself, the most overlooked reason is the fact that it gets people talking about you and thinking of you outside of the online platform.

Example…say you LOVE matcha. Like, you’re totally obsessed with it and you post about it randomly in your stories. You show people that you made your own at home. You share about a great cup of matcha latte that you got at the local coffee shop, etc. Guess what will happen when someone is out and about and they see MATCHA on the menu. They are going to think of you. They may even go as far as tagging you when they order it. It keeps YOU at the top of mind because you are fun and relatable. So when someone asks your new “matcha friend” who they know that can build a website for them…WHO ARE THEY GOING TO THINK OF?!  YOU!!!

It’s a strange concept…but it’s true. This is social networking at it’s best.

When you make deep connections, you will develop perfect referral partnerships

Networking also includes diving deep and making genuine connections with other women that will stand by your side. Referral partners is another topic that is a MOMpire pillar belief, but it’s truly the lifeline of your business.

When other people are bringing you leads, you are in business, mama. You will truly explode your business with referrals when you find the right group to connect with. If you’re looking for the perfect community to plug into, join the MOMpire Network!

I hope that these concepts were helpful and serve as a new and PROFITABLE way to look at networking. It doesn’t have to be cringeworthy. 😉 It can be seamless, authentic, and dare I say it…even fun.
